Enugu First Lady brings joy and support to 30 new mothers at Parklane Hospital
The Easter season brought an added touch of warmth and hope to the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane, as 30 new mothers received care packages and goodwill messages through a special outreach facilitated by the First Lady of Enugu State, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah.
The initiative, carried out in partnership with the Custos Care Foundation and the Local Government Chairpersons, was aimed at celebrating the arrival of newborns and easing the transition for mothers just beginning their journey into parenthood.
With carefully prepared gift items delivered to each family, the gesture served as a tangible expression of support, compassion, and shared joy during one of life’s most transformative moments. Representatives from the organising teams visited the hospital to spend time with the families, offering encouragement and extending the First Lady’s message of hope.
Mrs. Mbah, who is the Founding Director of the Custos Care Foundation and wife of the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, shared a heartfelt note to accompany the outreach.
Through her foundation and public office, Mrs. Mbah continues to champion family-centred programmes that prioritise the health, dignity, and welfare of women and children across Enugu State.
