I had the privilege of engaging in an interactive session with students from the schools that joined us on the Roadwalk against Child Labour. This experience was truly enlightening and humbling.
Listening to their dreams, hopes, and challenges was a poignant reminder of creating a supportive environment fostering their growth and development. They expressed their desire for extracurricular activities to help boost their academic performance and overall well-being and the need for resources and facilities to maximise their education.
What struck me most was their eagerness to be heard and their appreciation for being given a platform to express themselves. It was a stark reminder that, often, all they need is someone to listen and offer guidance.
I am proud to be part of an administration that prioritises the welfare and development of our children. Under the leadership of my dear husband, His Excellency, the Governor, Dr Barr Peter Mbah, this administration is committed. It has been working towards providing quality education, equipping our schools with modern facilities, and creating opportunities for our children to thrive, enabling them to excel in an increasingly interconnected world.
We will work tirelessly to ensure that our children receive the best possible start in life and are empowered to reach their full potential.
